How To Make A Delicious Banoffee Pie
When it comes to desserts, Banoffee pie is one of the best and well liked desserts in the UK. Banoffee pie is an English dessert pie made from bananas, cream and toffee, combined either on a buttery biscuit base or one made from crumbled biscuits and butter. Some versions of the recipe also include chocolate, coffee or both.

SERVES: 8-10

Here is how you can make this delicious dessert at home:

INGREDIENTS:

  • Digestive Biscuits – 260g Crushed
  • Butter – 100g Melted
  • Caramel – 390g 
  • Bananas – 3 Medium Sized (450g approximately)
  • Whipping Cream – 300ml Whipped
  • Grated Chocolate – 25g To Decorate
  • Icing Sugar – 50g
You will need a 20-22cm loose-bottomed cake tin to make this dessert.

DIRECTIONS OF MAKING:

STEP 1: 

Put 260g digestive biscuit into a blender, blend it for about a minute. Put the crushed biscuits into a bowl with the melted butter 100g. Mix it together thoroughly, then press the mixture into the base and side of the tin. Chill for 30 minutes.

STEP 2:

Spread the caramel over the base. Just spread it out with a spoon or spatula – there is no need to beat.

STEP 3:

Slice the bananas and lined them up over the top, then put the whipped cream on top and decorate with grated chocolate. Chill for 4 hours/until ready to serve.
