Homemade Spicy Roast Chicken In 5 Simple Steps


  • Chicken legs – 5 pieces (1.3kg)
  • Paprika powder – 1tsp 
  • Turmeric powder – 1tsp
  • Whole coriander – 1tsp
  • Whole cumin seeds – 1tsp
  • Mixed herbs – 1tsp
  • Dried parsley – 1tsp
  • Black pepper – 1tsp
  • Fresh garlic paste 1tsp (4-5 cloves)
  • Fresh ginger paste – 1tsp
  • Fresh lemon juice – 1tbsp
  • Natural yoghurt – ½ cup
  • Olive oil – 1tbsp
  • Salt – 1tbsp
  • Whole green chilli – 6-8


Follow these five simple steps for a maximum taste!
STEP 1: Cut slits 1 cm deep into the chicken legs
STEP 2: Put all the ingredients into a blender. Blend it for a few minutes until it become paste
STEP 3: Marinade the chicken legs with the paste in a bowl, cover it with the cling film and leave it in the fridge for 15 minutes
STEP 4: Preheat the grill on maximum heat for 10 minutes
STEP 5: Line it in a baking tray with tin foil and brush it with cooking oil. Grill the chicken for 20 minutes then flip the chicken and grill it for another 20 minutes on maximum heat. (Total cooking time: 40 minutes). Done!


You can serve this delicious homemade roast chicken with pilau rice, salad and mint sauce.
