Fear is among the major obstacles to attaining our goals. If you allow it to prevail, it will stop you from journeying towards your aspirations and you won’t be able to achieve success as your emotions are clouding your positive thoughts.
The emotion of fear is what causes us anxiety, stress, and unhappiness, rather than the reality of what we fear. A whole new world of possibilities opens up for you when you develop the habits of courage and self-confidence.
So, for you to become successful, you have to be conquer fear. Otherwise, your dream to become successful will remain just that – a dream.
Like many other people out there, you might not even be able to recognize the effect of your worries in your life. This emotion can have horrible impacts on the body such as weakening our immune system, damaging long-term memory, and slowing down the reactivity of the brain.

1. It Makes You Doubt Your Abilities

We are not born to be perfect. For you to learn or know anything and to achieve any ambition, you must be bold enough to try engaging in activities. You have to conquer fear for you to tap into available opportunities.
However when you are apprehensive, you will start doubting your abilities and this will definitely hold you back from trying what you could have enjoyed very much.
I’m not telling you to never be scared. It’s okay to feel anxious or feel like you’re not able to do something. Even the most courageous people have their doubts. To be brave, you must conquer what holds you back.

2. It Controls What You Do

Fear controls almost everything that you do if you don’t conquer it. It is a very powerful feeling. For instance, what do you think keeps you from waking up very early in the morning to go to a job you actually despised during the first month you got it?
You worry that you might not be able to get another job that will help you pay your bills and still make you happy. It is the same thing that can happen to you when you are in an abusive relationship.
Even though you know very well that you don’t feel happy when you are with your significant other, you still decide to keep being in that relationship because you are scared that if you leave, you might not be able to find someone else.

3. It Prevents You From Taking Risks

Life is all about taking risks. From relationships to business, seeking for political office, taking a loan, and facing any life challenges and much more, you can only succeed if you are ready to take risks.
If you anxious about failure, you will not try anything because the possibilities of doing anything are always two – failure or success. It’s natural for us to react quickly to any tough challenges – it’s either fight or flight.
On the same note, if you fear disappointment, you will miss out on numerous opportunities because that negativity will always hold you back.

What It Means To Be Fearless

Fearless doesn’t mean having not being scared at all. It means not acting on your negative emotions and instead overcoming it. It’s an emotion that every one of us experiences at some point in life, and sometimes every day.
However, when you defeat what holds you back, few can lead you away from your path to success.

The More You Know, The Better It Is To Deal With Fear

Ignorance also causes fear. Our doubts dominate us when we have limited information. The outcome of our actions we become tense and insecure. Ignorance causes us to fear change, fear the unknown, and avoid trying new or different things.
The very act of collecting more and better information on a particular topic increases our self-confidence and trust in that area. In the parts of your life you can see this where you have no fear at all because you know what you’re doing. You feel competent and able to handle anything that happens.
